I don’t have cable and want to be able to pick up all the free channels in the area I live. I have used the small square panel and rabbit ears (both hd) but with both I don’t get all the major networks without moving around the antenna. And sometimes reception was still glitchy. The antop flat panel was easy to hook up and I was very happy with the channel selection I got when I scanned the tv. Only thing I don’t really like is the size, but that can be overcome and is worth it for the excellent reception.

I am adding a TV to my basement and I was trying to figure out how I could get reception to it. I looked at the Antop Flat Panel “Big Boy” Smartpass Amplified antenna and thought wow this could do just what I want and I don’t have to pay extra for a cable box. I can’t wait to put this to use when I exercise it will give me something to look at while I’m on the treadmill. I also like the fact that you don’t have to mount this antenna outside if you don’t want to; it can reside in your house on your table top or attic. Also if you do mount it outside it doesn’t have to go on your roof top, it can go on your fence, balcony. Wow antenna technology has definitely come a long way. Great idea Antop!!

I like local TV channels, but I DID NOT want a cable bill – opted for installing this fantastic antenna and getting entirely too familiar with my attic space. I worked without a spotter, so I made a lot of trips up and down those stairs. This latest DIY project only cost me a few well-spent dollars and a good bit of patience and it was well worth it. Once I got the antenna installed and correctly oriented, I received 48 digital channels! I’m also getting 9 radio stations too.

It’s a little pricey, but it does the job. Pulls in 94 local stations; quick and easy to install.
