I have used my new Big Boy in SE Louisiana and SW Florida. One is over 30 miles and the other location is over 60 miles. Got good reception both places. I haven’t “installed” it yet. Currently on back deck point South thru a bunch of trees. I have to install an outlet in the attic for the inline Smart boost before I can move it up there.
However, it is big enough to work, yet light enough to be somewhat portable. It located 60 channels, most in the UHF range but also the few VHF ones we still have. Too bad one channel suite is nothing but shopping.
Will update with time. Things may be different in a hot attic with time.

I like this antenna
I get a few extra channels than my other antenna .

I can get Boston and Providence stations from my apartment without having to rotate the antenna. Much more stations than I can get from any location with a patch antenna.

I like the design of this Big Boy antenna, it will receive well for those close to the broadcast tower, just be sure to have adjustable preamp gain. A lot of our signals are on UHF, so that’s something it does very well.

I can’t say enough about how good the customer service was when contacting Antop! I recently put a metal roof on my house which caused my TV antenna to stop working. I sent the company an email with a couple of my questions and got an immediate reply. The Antop agent located (approximate) my house from my phone number and told me how to aim the antenna and how far the transmission towers are from me.
During our correspondence the agent sent me two more very comprehensive emails.
I now can clearly pick up 109 TV stations.
The Customer Service was outstanding!
A great company with a great product!

This antenna is perfect for UHF because it is a 2-bracket bowtie antenna printed on a circuit board, so people with a wider signal area will have some good results.

Although I live in a suburban area with many obstacles, there is only one direction that is free of obstacles, this antenna is directional in nature, and it has an amplifier that pulls in 10 channels for me, which is not much, but it performs laing’h for weak signal areas.

I live in the country and was surprised to see that I could get 40 channels using it indoors. I can’t say for sure because each one has a different location, structure, etc. What you can do is go to the website and use the nice Antop map to search for your zip code. It will show you what towers are around you and what channels you can get to your location. Because my house structure is a large single story there is no way to do the test outside because I don’t have the tools to support it, I know I can get up to 65 in my location but the antenna needs to be outside and higher.

We live in a large, crowded suburb in the western plains. TV reception here is difficult to say the least. We have 35 channels. Some are 90 miles away.
When the cable company raised our rates by $40.00 without any explanation, we cut off this stupid cable.

Moved to a new house, and the picture quality from the existing antenna was very poor – unwatchable. Bought two of these for different rooms. Simple installation and awesome results. Only a few seconds needed to move them to the window for best reception. Definitely recommend.

My younger brother also bought the AT-800SBS antenna which is the same size as the 400BV. At first I thought it would be bulky, but it is actually very light. They differ in its amp, the 800 sbs has an adjustable amp, the 400 bv has a smaller amp, and they both have built-in 4g LTE filters that filter out 3g and 4g wireless signals. This design is great!

This is a great product. I have used cheaper priced antennae with limited results. Because I have metal windows, this antennae works well from the attic. I get 50 channels in my service area versus the 12
channels I used to get..recommend it.

I installed this without the amplifier, but in front of a powered splitter. It then fed all the sets in my house. Great reception.

I’ve tried several different antennas for the radio in my shop. This one picks up the best signal by far. Don’t waste your money on anything else like I did. I am now able to pick up many more stations with clarity than ever before. I may buy another one for the house.

I moved from a location approximately 60 miles Southwest of Chicago on the top floor with a basic flat window antenna, and received most all channels that I could with with pretty good reception. After I moved to a location that was about 50 miles North of Chicago, I was located on the ground floor with the same antenna, and only received anywhere from 4 to 10 channels at any given time with very poor reception, sometimes none. I came back to Antop and followed their guidance in ordering the Bigboy indoor outdoor and was very pleased to find that it worked perfectly without the VHF attachments, while sitting right next to my TV. It gets 55 channels and I could not be happier.

Great multi-directional antenna. I have it mounted on a 20 foot pole. Living in south central Michigan, my area is considered a “fringe area” for tv reception. A triangle between Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids is a tv station “sweet spot”. Having my AT-400BV fixed to the northwest to tap this area I am picking up 55 stations and substations.Great reception no hassle and no rotor to swing the antenna around. Nice investment for free TV.

This antenna is giving better reception than the antenna I had, so I’m happy. It was easy to set up. I’m using it indoors, and I removed the metal bracket on the back.

I bought this model after reading and watching many online reviews. Better signal than the lower priced antenna we were using before. I used Antop’s signal finder as well and called customer service to verify I installed the antenna correctly and in the best position. The amplifier feature to raise or lower the amplification signal is just the feature we needed for some channels to air with the best signal. A feature many models do not have and need to make a priority on their products or Antop with leave those companies in the dust. There is a one year warranty with no registration required, but just retain the receipt. We live in a Chicagoland metropolitan area nd are only about 12-15 miles from the over the air towers, so reception is clear and strong. I placed this on the TV stand near a south facing window indoors, but I love how this model can also be mounted outdoors. I will be purchasing another one and I’m done buying other brands of over the air antennas and wasting my money or dealing with returning items in store or via shipment in the mail. Hopefully I can help my elderly parents cut their TV bills even more with this since their converter box set up was defunct for some time and their tv and internet bills kept rising until we got this antenna, setup their own personal router/modem combo and changed the package to internet only. Thanks again Antop for a great product and peace of mind for something as simple as free and strong signal delivery.

This antenna came with great reviews and I read them all before I purchased. The antenna was of high quality and extremely easy to install. Came with everything that was needed. What one needs to be sure to do is check your zip code for signal strength in your area. This is very important before you purchase.

If you go to the website and put in your ZIP code it tells you what channels you should receive and from what cities closest to you and it was spot-on I’m out in the middle of nowhere and I picked up 79 stations. It’s not a huge antenna either but man does it really work.

My kids are so happy to be able to finally get some programming in our tv. We just moved to a new place and we were getting no signal at all regardless of the antenna that we use. This item gave us 50+ channels to start with and we are happy to have that we tried this antenna.

Have a small 6ft pole in my backyard. Easy to install and replace my old antenne. Used the same cabling and everything as before. Went from 15 to 29 channels. Also the quality of the 15 I used to get are now flawless. About 1/2 of the new ones are also near perfect, with the other 1/2 watchable with some pixelation on decent days. Hands down the best antenna I have ever used.

I love this new air TV antenna. I have an older HD TV that works perfectly with this by connecting it to the coaxial connection. It was a breeze to install and set up, nothing else is needed. Just mount it outside on light pole and go. Great reception. Thanks for such a great product.

This is a good antenna but it is directional. I live in a rural area with stationsthat broadcast from several directions. It picks up really well from the front of the antenna and does get some signal from the back but no matter how it is pointed it drops some channels out. I bought this directly from Antop and bought this on their recomendation. I am now looking for a true omnidirectional antenna.

Raymond –
I am very pleased with this antenna. This antenna has relieved me of fighting with the outdoor antenna I have been using. Would recommend installing it outside on roof if possible for strongest reception. I received about 72+ channels. This lightweight antenna is sturdy, solid plastic unlike a lot of the others that are mostly poor quality plastic.

I live in a community where you have to get approval for external antenna installation so I mounted this in attic. I have no problem receiving over 45 digital channels with great signal quality.I ran it to my bedroom TV and the main room TV with a 2 way spliter. Both main and bedroom TVs seem to have the same signal quality. While in my area almost all broadcast antennas are in the same direction there are a few about 45 degrees northeast of me but it pulls in all those channels without pixelated. Very happy with my purchase of this antenna.

Richard Edwards –
Works perfect , download a app to find the closest antenna tower and installed pouting in that direction. Could be hard to install if your not comfortable climbing on your roof ? I have no clue, had someone do it for me but other than that no one can even tell the picture is coming from a antenna. The picture is that good. Got rid of cable, and this has been a true lifesaver.

John –
It works inside better than on the roof. Why? I am not sure. However, when we place it in the corner of our living room, it brings in every channel in the area except one. Not bad, so overall I am pretty happy!

I tried an old-school looking yagi (got it at Walmart, I think), and then one of the powered black square antennas. Both worked about the same. This flat antenna worked far better. I put it in the attic of a house with a metal roof. I thought for sure the metal roofing would just kill the reception, but this thing works like a champ. I’m certain it would be even better mounted on the rooftop, but I wanted a clean install and it’s working fine in the attic.
I mounted it in under an hour. Using website that showed the exact directions and distances of the broadcast towers in my area and a compass app on my phone, I aimed the antenna accordingly. I also turn on the booster coming from the antenna. I was able to get 32 channels including 3 of the 4 major networks. Signal strength was almost 100%. Locating this in the attic, I don’t have to look at it in my yard and it won’t be affected by strong wind. Overall I’m happy with this unit. Several of the external antennas I tried would only get 3 or 4 channels. I also used a 30′ quality coax to connect the antenna to the splitter from my old cable system so it feeds all 4 TVs in the house.

I received my Antenna a few days ago. The packaging was solid, with all pieces neatly packed in the box. Contents included everything needed for setup as well as some menuals for product description and mounting instruction. I mounted it on the side of house with j-pole. I scanned for tv signals and got every station I wanted on the first try. I think the Antenna would pick up more if I mounted it higher, but that wouldn’t look great with a long pole on rooftop. The channels that I did pick up come in very clear and provide a steady signal. Definitely recommend for the cost and quality.

This is our second outdoor antenna. The first one was damaged in a strom and I immediately purchased another one to replace it. We tried several others but none worked as good as this smart antenna.
We are about 65 miles away from the broadcast tower and the antenna is mounted on chimney at about 18 feet off the ground and we get around 80 channels. I have recommended this antenna to several neighbors and everyone is happy with this model.

After the FCC mandated Repack, two of my favorite channels were demoted to High Band VHF. My old antenna could only handle UHF and so I was in the market for a new antenna that could handle Channels 11 and 13. This unit was easy to install and performs flawlessly for signals transmitted 40 miles from my home.
The included stand made placing the unit in my attic a breeze without having to mount anything on the rafters.

AT-400BV – work very well I get about 30 channels from 8 stations.
I was able to send the signal to 4 outlet though the house using the exiting cables.
I’m using this indoors at this time.
Well made and come with the 39ft cable, and the signal amp / LTE filter also.

What’s the difference between this antenna (AT-400BV) and the AT-800SBS?
(0) (0)

Hi Aaron, the biggest difference is AT-800SBS equipped with Smart boost amplifier system but 400bv has the smart pass amplifier system. The smart boost system features with the dial that you can adjust your antenna signal power and the smart pass system only has the switch button for signal power “on” or “off”.

Installed this antenna on a family member’s home to replace a different antenna that failed after a rain storm. This antenna has been in service for over a year now. It is still working great! Unlike some other antennas that claim to be suitable for outdoor use, this one actually is. It has been exposed, so far, to a year of Florida weather, (sunshine, heat, wind, rain, etc.) and it is still working great! Obviously, I have no idea how it holds up to snow and or ice, but from my expectations and experience, this antenna comes highly recommended

My AT-400BV Big Boy antenna arrived within a week. It was very well packaged, and it feels and looks like a top quality product. I live about 40 miles from Nashville, and 40 miles from Bowling Green. I put the antenna outside on a 21 foot pole next to my house, then pointed it almost between the two cities but a bit more towards Nashville. Well I was very happy to see that after my scan I was able to pull in 54 stations and all perfectly clear. Very pleased with that because my old antenna only got around 25-30 stations. Antop your product performs as advertised….THANK YOU!

Great antenna! Bought this for my parents home who live in a rural remote area. Antenna signal maps show the closest reception to be over 55 miles. Setup and mount was very easy; just connected to the antenna with the provided cable. Moved it a few places and did a few scans on the TV. Picked up channels that were noted to be 95 miles away. Great addition for them to cut the cord. And didn’t even have to mount it very high; It’s actually on a carport.

I bought this antenna to avoid signal drop outs during rain storms. Almost all the towers are 56 miles away on the same bearing. With this antenna, I am able to receive every station listed on antennaweb.org for my area.
Singal strength on the TV is rougly 70 out of 100 on all the channels, no dropouts on the signal have been noticed since I installed this antenna.

It works better than expected. I thought I would have to purchase an outside pole to put this antenna on, but I get great T.V. reception after installing in my attic. The T.v. stations are over 58 miles from my location, I think it is a great antenna for the price. Well built and easy to install.

Decided to try this Antenna after being so frustrated with the rising cost of cable. Awesome product. I catch 33 channels easily. We have lots of trees around us so I was quite surprised. Very easy to install. We just mounted it to the top of our roof and connected it to the cable and all three TV’s are working fine.

S. Bigelow –
This antenna was tested with other antenna’s much larger and with a little more gain. I was looking for a pole mount antenna that would pick up digital UHF and VHF High Band stations up to 35 miles away. The ANTOP AT400BV antenna worked fine at that distance and even picked up a LPTV Channel 9 station 30 miles away at only 10 feet high. However, it had to be pointed right at the station’s transmitter site for a solid signal. The AT400BV antenna is quite easy to mount with a pole. I receive even more channels than I did with my old one. I pull in around 48 channels now compared to the 28 I received before and the picture quality is crystal clear.

This worked well in my shallow attic. Of course, the rabbit ears it replaced also worked well in my shallow attic. 🙂 However, this one is much better than that.

Great antenna. Tried it and got 65 digital channels. I gave it 4 stars because cable not long enough.

A little pricey. I could have done a $25 HD antenna that you see out there that covers close to 50 miles. This one is a little bigger than I had thought it would be. I should have read the description better as I’m using this in house. This one says its good up to 85 miles and can be used indoor or outdoors. I’m picking up so many OA stations it seems to be doing its job. I recently cut Directv and doing a Tivo OA DVR and Playstation Vue for my cable channels getting my over all bill down and saving $120 a month. Well worth the transition for me and I wanted a high quality HD Antenna so I was willing to spend the money on it. I didn’t want to take a chance on a cheaper product and not get the reception I was looking for……….. I now have 2 of these since I put a TV in the bedroom. It may be more in cost per the competition, but its well worth it

I ordered this on the recommendations by other reviewers and agree that it’s really what you need. Out in the country of North Carolina, we’re about 20 miles from the closest station and almost 60 from others.
When the antenna arrived, I hooked it up to the TV on the living room floor. If it wasn’t going to work, I didn’t want to find out after it was on the roof. Sitting on the floor next to the TV (pointed at nothing but the couch) it picked up at least seven stations!
Took it outside and mounted it on the roof in the same place our old DishNetwork dish had been (it’s much smaller than the old dish and doesn’t seem at all out of place in the neighborhood) and we have almost 40 channels of great digital TV from every direction. I did point it toward the closer stations, but that doesn’t stop it from picking up stations from 60 miles away in the other direction.
In one month of not paying for Dish, it will have paid for itself. I could not be happier.

Strong construction, very simple to put it together, easy installation and also looks nice! I was looking options, I tried first Lava HD-8008, I had to modified the “bracket” to put it in my dish base, with this one not necessarily, talking about channels, with the Lava I got 25 channels and with this one 50+, amplifier much better as well. Reason I’m comparing is to help people saving time looking for Lava’s antenna (didn’t work for me), Antop AT-400BV is the way to go!

Is getting 146 over the air channels from a suburb of Houston worth a five star rating? I didn’t even know there was so many channels OTA. Why would I even need to rotate it ? I guess because it looks cool to do it via remote. My only concern is the fact that the housing on the antenna is plastic and I wonder what heavy rain will do to the inside. I had to buy a stand separate but who cares, this thing is awesome . Bye Bye cable bill!

Perfect reception here in the city – easy set up, good product, no problems. Would recommend you go to antop signalmaps page to ensure you place the antenna in the best direction/location for optimal reception.

Really wanted to “cut the cord” from cable tv, decided to check out antenna. Saw this one, read many of the reviews and it seemed to be exactly what we were looking for though wasn’t sure how well it would work for us given that our home is hidden in a wooded area of very tall trees. But it was worth trying. Can’t tell you how thrilled we are with the result! Installation was no problem for us women (a 72yr. old and 60yr. old) and the reception is every bit as sharp and clear as we had with FiOS. We don’t get but about ten channels but, for us, that’s not a problem. All we really needed were the primary networks (we get ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox) and for everything else we have ROKU. We have connected the antenna to four televisions, no problem. The last two days we experienced stormy weather here without losing transmission. We had considered switching to OTA 2-3 years ago when we first installed ROKU but were very hesitant. Now we wish we had but better late than never. Highly recommend this antenna.

Under roof or attic installation also works well. If you live, as I do, where winter is brutal and you would prefer keeping an outdoor antenna protected from ice and snow, this one will likely suit you. I installed it in my garage attic and it receives a terrific signal even through the garage’s metal roof. I do advise first doing a temporary trial set-up to ensure reception is good. My roof trusses are not steeply pitched yet the small size of this antenna fit easily and can rotate without obstruction. Even if you live in a milder climate, an under roof installation is aesthetically more pleasing and avoids lightning strike issues.

We cut the chord years ago. I replaced our old yagi/beam styled uhf/vhf antenna that gave us 23 channels from one of two possible metro areas as it was a directional antenna. I never gave much credence to these new digital antennas until I saw one of these in action at a neighbor’s house.
I have since replaced that huge beam antenna with this flying saucer styled antenna from antop and went from 23 channels to 61 channels, pulling in signals from two different metro areas almost 180 degrees apart. One being about 50 miles away, and the other, 40 miles away. Not only does it work better than my old yagi, it is much smaller and not nearly the eyesore the old antenna was. I am very happy with this antenna. Just remember when mounting it, the higher the better.

I am located in a valley and this antenna has been the only solution to pick up over the air stations. It picks up 3 of the 4 stations I wanted most with the 4th being hit or miss. Not ANTOP’s fault.

works great – picked up 50 channels out of a 69 channel search. Excellent resolution.
Only negative is the 16′ cable is a bit short for my installation needs.

This is my second Antop antenna, and it works perfectly just like the last. The install is extremely easy, and only took around 30 minutes from start to finish. listed below is every thing I love about this antenna
1 Install
Antop antennas are extreamly easy to install. They give you every thing you need in the box to hook this up. The bracket attached to the back of the antenna allows you to hang this on the side of the house with ease. all you need to do is screw in four screws, and its done. The also give you a bracket that allows you to place this on an existing antenna pole, or a balcony in your apartment. You wil also receive 39 feet of coax cable, so no worries placing this where you want it. The install only took 30 minutes, and that included running the cable into the house from the outside.
Indoor/Outdoor
With this antenna, you will also recieve a base that clips to the bottom of the antenna. This alows you to bring this inside if you dont feel like running a cable from the outside. This is also beneficial if you live in an apartment and cant run cable from the outside. Even with the antenna indoors, you should get great reception, but they also include a booster just incase the signal gets weak. Because you can please this in any environment (in door/ out door) you will have no issues finding the perfect place to put this.
Looks:
It really does not matter what your decor looks like, this antenna is sleek and modern looking. Gone are the days of the giant metal eye sore hanging from the roof, as this belnds in nicely and looks great. I have had a few people ask me what this was, and was shocked when I told them it was a tv antenna.
Build:
I accidentally dropped this from the top of the house while installing it, and landed on a metal window well. I thought for sure it was going to break into a million peices, but when I went to pick it up, I could not even find a scratch. Not to mention, my other Antop has been in the harsh Ohio summers and winters, and held up perfectly through them all.
Reception:
I was shocked when I first started using the antenna as the picture quality is actually better than the satellite provider was giving. The satellite picture somes in at 1080p, but we were only getting standard HD with the satellite. I never knew tha this would be the case, but I am happy it is. I also dont loss signal with this like I did with the satellite. You may get a bit of interruption during a heavy storm, but it always comes back with in a few seconds.
Savings $$$:
I was paying over $180 a month with my satellite provider, but with this and my firestick, I pay nothing at all. Now I can watch my favorite sports teams and not pay a dime. That being said, you will recoup your investment within a month after purchasing this antenna.
strength:
Not only are we picking up our local stations, we are picking up stations outside of our local broad casting area. We have over 20 chanels, and now can watch the local news in our area, and the nearest major city. What nice about this being a 70 mile range antenna is that you can also place this on either side of the house and not have to worry about reception.
Summary:
This is my second Antop antenna, and I love them. They are built extremely well and look great. Not to mention, they give me the best reception I have ever had. No problems at all installing this and free tv… what else can you ask for? I 100% recommend!
Ps. You have to do a channel scan on your television once installed before you can pick up any channels.

I bought this about a month ago and all I can say is WOW. We went from no stations whatsoever using several of the “High-Tech” (yeah right) flat panel indoor wall units to 20 “CRYSTAL-CLEAR” stations. We have a few that are doubles but I’m assuming that that’s because they’re being broadcast from different locations. If you’re on the fence… Take my advice and grab one of these.

So, far, so good. I tried 2 other (different brands) that didn’t work at all, before trying this one. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the reviews on this product were great. It comes with a long cable that allows you test different areas for reception.Really pleased with the crystal clear pictures. My only caveat is I’m 60 miles away from the main TV towers, and this is supposed to go up to 85,I finally got any of the ones that are about 75 miles away.

works great in Chicago, IL. Image quality is beyond amazing (even better than HD quality of cables. Over the Air signals are not compressed so you get the best HD quality you can imagine), Typical channel I get in hte highest HD quality: PBS channels, ABC, NBC, CBS, WGN, Fox Chicago, theU channel and more. Major channels with great quality for FREE!

Antenna works as advertised. In an “on the air” rich environment I was able to pull in more stations than my single directional roof antenna. A lot of the stations that were marginal are much clearer with this antenna.

So far it does the job. Had to elevate closer to the top of the house since fence mounted wasn’t quite strong enough. Also had to use the amplifier. The signal was way too weak without it. Overall, it does the job, but would get a little stronger antenna if I had it to do over.

This product is awesome and I obtain the channels according to http://www.antennaweb.org. Since I live in an apartment, this antenna works without issues from the 2nd floor indoor near a window. I was concerned that I had to place the antenna on my balcony but that is not necessary. I’m fortunate that I’m located in the path of the DTV signals. As a beginner cord cutter, this is well worth the one-time expense. To view the Hi-V band (ABC & NBC stations), I switch on the amplifier. The flat panel antenna did not work for Hi-V band or Red coded channels in my area. To view the Hi-V band channels, I was a subscriber to Spectrum’s skinny TV Stream at $40 a month, $480 a year. The one time cost of this antenna and a splitter of $155 is a small cost in contrast to a Spectrum skinny bundle, a savings of $325.

Works better than the other antannas i have purchased. Still cannot get all of the networks
which are only 22 miles away. I am sure if i could
place it outside the reception would be better.
The HOA will not allow it so it sits in my second
story window. It recieves as many channels as a
mud flap antanna (FLAT ANTANNA) at four times
the price. The picture on the channels i do get is
crystal clear.

We have discontinued Cable TV because of the quality of this antenna. This antenna is pulling in stations that are within a 180 degree arc from our home. I have it aimed toward the center point of most stations from our home. We needed an antenna strong enough to pull in stations 35 miles away, at a minimum. We live in Seminole, FL and capture stations from Clearwater, Sarasota and Tampa without any issue. I was all prepared to mount this antenna on our on our roof. However, just for kicks, I placed the antenna in our attic, which took all of ten minutes. We receive 56 crystal clear stations from the attic. I see no reason to mount the antenna on the roof at this point. Being satisfied with this antenna would be an understatement. Goodbye cable TV! You must order the Antop cable splitter as well. The splitter allows for powering up the amplifier, which powers the antenna. The power connection is easily hooked up behind any TV and plugs into the wall outlet or power strip. You don’t need power in the attic or outside. In addition, the existing cables running to you various TV’s must not share the same cable run used for Internet service. So, unless you have a separate cable line for Internet, you will need to have your internet service provider install a designated line. Most cable companies will install that designated service line for free, provided you have signed up for their service plan. The other option would be to switch Internet service providers and capture a much lower monthly rate fee, plus have the new provider install a separate Internet only line. Buy this antenna!!!

This is a very good product. I live in an area with bad reception. I was only getting 3 channels with my old flat-panel antenna. With the ANTOP AT-400BV, I’m now getting 16. Antop’s customer service is also very good. I talked to Jennifer and she was very helpful and patient. I wish all company’s customer service was this good.

Worth purchase! I wish it didn’t cost quite this much, but I am pleased overall. I was able to pick up 27 channels indoor and 41 when placed outdoor. The important thing is I was able to reach the one channel I really wanted which with other antennas I could not reach.

Dewit Yerselfer –
Surprisingly good UHF reception for such a small footprint when the integrated amplifier is activated. Most of my desirable channels come from an antenna farm about 47 miles away, This antenna received all of the UHF channels broadcasting from that location.
If you are looking for a good attic antenna and don’t have the space for a less expensive larger 6-bowtie array or a 7′ long Yagi antenna, this will give you similar performance. Remember, you’ll need 120V outlet available to power the integrated amplifier!
It also has the integrated VHF antenna, (thats what the two sticks poking out the sides are), which according to their tech support person is omni directional. To be frank, VHF reception was inadequate for my application, I could not receive a relatively strong VHF transmitter located approx 35 mile away. Again, this was with the antenna located in the attic and the amplifier activated.
Since I really wanted to receive the VHF channel (it was one of the major networks), I actually took this antenna out of service and replaced it with a 6 bowtie array for UHF and a separate dedicated directional VHF (Clearstream 5) antenna pointed at the one VHF station that I needed. I used a Channel Master antenna combiner (to minimize signal loss when combining), a Channel Master 7777 high gain amplifier and a Channel master amplified 9-output distribution block to send signal throughout the house.
Getting all 5 major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS) and a slew of other channels.
The cable has been cut!
Remember folks, most, but not all HDTV over the air broadcasters are UHF frequencies, some legacy stations still transmit in VHF. UHF & VHF require different antennas. This antenna has both, but as I said the VHF segment was marginal.

Incredible antenna. Does everything as said and well made. It works so well I decided to leave it inside in the sun room on a table. I was able to point it toward the towers. The stand for indoor use is great. I actually decided it was too nice to mount outdoors and if I move/sell someday I can just easily take it with me. The idea of having a stand for indoor use is brilliant. I’m about 60 miles from the towers and I’m getting most of the channels, about 29, with the antenna on a coffee table. I do have a clear view of the towers, flat land, no real obstacles. Incredible antenna!!!
The booster works extremely well and makes a significant difference in reception. I contacted ANTOP support for recommendations before I ordered this antenna. They were very pleasant and support was extremely fast.

This is truly the best antenna that you could buy. I temporarily mounted it on a 4 ft. fence post and pointed it towards the nearest tower that’s aprox. 45 miles away and it pulls in 40 channels with no errors or intermittent disruptions. It consistently locks onto signals like CBs,ABC,NBC, WTTW, and etc. I plan on permanantly mounting it in the attic before Thanksgiving.

This is a great antenna. We live in the mountains of northern California 72 miles from the transmission towers. I had to really work to find the perfect spot for the antenna as there is a sort of Voodoo to reception in the mountains, but I found it. Excellent reception on all channels. I called customer service before I purchased this antenna and the people there gave me great advice on which antenna I needed. We have two channels that are high VHF so I needed the extra arms to increase sensitivity to VHF reception. I tried a very directional antenna before this one and had to fiddle with it a bit too much. This one is not omni, but has a 120 degree reception spread. I just centered it on the weakest channels and everything else comes in fine, also. Paired it with a TIVO Roamio OTA and I have everything I had with my DirecTV service except the specialty channels. Over the air has some added channels not offered by the big boys, too, however. Looking at Sling or Playstation Vue to fill in those stations at a much cheaper price than I was paying.

This was worth it! I wish it didn’t cost quite this much, but I am pleased overall. I live in a rural area with trees and hills. Most broadcasters are in the 45 to 65 mile range from my home. I was able to pick up 27 channels indoor and 41 when placed outdoor. Keep this in mind on the channels: many of them are repeat channels. I might get 41 channels but I have 2 and 3 of some of the channels. The important thing is I was able to reach the one channel I really wanted which was the ION channel. With my other antennas I could not reach it.

I tried several antenna and this one is the best. I looks so much better than the cheap metal antennas. Receiving OTA signal comes down to antenna location and signal strength. Even though this antenna is directional you still have to take the time to find the best positioning. I adjusted the direction of the antenna many times to find the best position to receive the most channels. The direction adjustments were 1/4 to 1/2 inch each time. It takes time and patience to receive the best OTA signal. I receive the most channels with this antenna as compared to the cheap metal ones.

I like this antenna a lot. It seems well-made and it was excellent at picking up UHF channels, even when sitting inside a closet where my communications cabinet is located. Unfortunately I live in an area where 2 of the stations I would like to receive are VHF and whose broadcast tower is blocked by hills and is over water, therefore having weak signals. I ended up having to install a yagi-type antenna on my roof to meet my needs and returned this one.
Nonetheless I rated this very highly for a couple of reasons. I think it would be great in many situations. This was the 2nd Antop antenna I tried. After I purchased the first one I had a discussion with Antop about trying this one. They took the time to take a look at my specific situation and told me this one had a 50-50 chance of picking up the VHF signals in my area. I appreciated their support and honesty, so that was a big plus with me.
Overall I purchased 5 antennas in an effort to find one that worked. This was the best of the small-profile antennas I tested.

WOW, I don’t write reviews but this product was worth my time. I was impressed with the quality and that it lived up to all the marketing.
