I bought this model after reading and watching many online reviews. Better signal than the lower priced antenna we were using before. I used Antop’s signal finder as well and called customer service to verify I installed the antenna correctly and in the best position. The amplifier feature to raise or lower the amplification signal is just the feature we needed for some channels to air with the best signal. A feature many models do not have and need to make a priority on their products or Antop with leave those companies in the dust. There is a one year warranty with no registration required, but just retain the receipt. We live in a Chicagoland metropolitan area nd are only about 12-15 miles from the over the air towers, so reception is clear and strong. I placed this on the TV stand near a south facing window indoors, but I love how this model can also be mounted outdoors. I will be purchasing another one and I’m done buying other brands of over the air antennas and wasting my money or dealing with returning items in store or via shipment in the mail. Hopefully I can help my elderly parents cut their TV bills even more with this since their converter box set up was defunct for some time and their tv and internet bills kept rising until we got this antenna, setup their own personal router/modem combo and changed the package to internet only. Thanks again Antop for a great product and peace of mind for something as simple as free and strong signal delivery.

I live in a mountainous area. The Antop Big Boy is doing a better job receiving channels then any other antenna I’ve tried. Thanks.

Great antenna. Tried it and got 65 digital channels. I gave it 4 stars because cable not long enough.

We cut the chord years ago. I replaced our old yagi/beam styled uhf/vhf antenna that gave us 23 channels from one of two possible metro areas as it was a directional antenna. I never gave much credence to these new digital antennas until I saw one of these in action at a neighbor’s house.
I have since replaced that huge beam antenna with this flying saucer styled antenna from antop and went from 23 channels to 61 channels, pulling in signals from two different metro areas almost 180 degrees apart. One being about 50 miles away, and the other, 40 miles away. Not only does it work better than my old yagi, it is much smaller and not nearly the eyesore the old antenna was. I am very happy with this antenna. Just remember when mounting it, the higher the better.

works great – picked up 50 channels out of a 69 channel search. Excellent resolution.
Only negative is the 16′ cable is a bit short for my installation needs.

Antenna works as advertised. In an “on the air” rich environment I was able to pull in more stations than my single directional roof antenna. A lot of the stations that were marginal are much clearer with this antenna.

So far it does the job. Had to elevate closer to the top of the house since fence mounted wasn’t quite strong enough. Also had to use the amplifier. The signal was way too weak without it. Overall, it does the job, but would get a little stronger antenna if I had it to do over.

I bought this antenna months ago, it is good but not the best, I live about 75 miles from my broadcast towers, this antenna took me to 59 channels but average is 65.

Worth purchase! I wish it didn’t cost quite this much, but I am pleased overall. I was able to pick up 27 channels indoor and 41 when placed outdoor. The important thing is I was able to reach the one channel I really wanted which with other antennas I could not reach.

Surprisingly good UHF reception for such a small footprint when the integrated amplifier is activated. Most of my desirable channels come from an antenna farm about 47 miles away, This antenna received all of the UHF channels broadcasting from that location.
If you are looking for a good attic antenna and don’t have the space for a less expensive larger 6-bowtie array or a 7′ long Yagi antenna, this will give you similar performance. Remember, you’ll need 120V outlet available to power the integrated amplifier!
It also has the integrated VHF antenna, (thats what the two sticks poking out the sides are), which according to their tech support person is omni directional. To be frank, VHF reception was inadequate for my application, I could not receive a relatively strong VHF transmitter located approx 35 mile away. Again, this was with the antenna located in the attic and the amplifier activated.
Since I really wanted to receive the VHF channel (it was one of the major networks), I actually took this antenna out of service and replaced it with a 6 bowtie array for UHF and a separate dedicated directional VHF (Clearstream 5) antenna pointed at the one VHF station that I needed. I used a Channel Master antenna combiner (to minimize signal loss when combining), a Channel Master 7777 high gain amplifier and a Channel master amplified 9-output distribution block to send signal throughout the house.
Getting all 5 major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS) and a slew of other channels.
The cable has been cut!
Remember folks, most, but not all HDTV over the air broadcasters are UHF frequencies, some legacy stations still transmit in VHF. UHF & VHF require different antennas. This antenna has both, but as I said the VHF segment was marginal.

This was worth it! I wish it didn’t cost quite this much, but I am pleased overall. I live in a rural area with trees and hills. Most broadcasters are in the 45 to 65 mile range from my home. I was able to pick up 27 channels indoor and 41 when placed outdoor. Keep this in mind on the channels: many of them are repeat channels. I might get 41 channels but I have 2 and 3 of some of the channels. The important thing is I was able to reach the one channel I really wanted which was the ION channel. With my other antennas I could not reach it.
