I installed this antenna a year ago, and while its initial performance was a marked improvement over that of its predecessor and allowed me to bring in Montpelier, VT, 100 miles away, I was concerned that a Montreal winter might prove problematic. Such was not the case; the housing is still intact and sealing out the elements. Time to buy one for my brother-in-law in Toronto.

It works perfectly outside my balcony! I now have 50 channels, whereas before I only received 19.

It’s wall-mounted on the second floor of my house, and it works great, withstanding the wind and rain and still intact, the signal received 100% of the HDTV picture.

It is very powerful antenna, more powerful than I have ever seen on TV. I live 45 miles from the transmitter where the signal is very weak. I mounted the antenna on the roof of my house as high as possible with the regulator pointed at the nearest station and I tested it by turning on the amplifier and found that the channels were received very well. I also purchased the “J” pole for the installation as it adds a little more stability and provides a little more height.

I live in San Diego’s mountainous fringe reception area near Camp Pendleton. All the signal prediction websites show I should receive a little more than 20 channels. I get 60+ channels on each of 6 TVs through a MATV master antenna television system I designed with an open box certified Antop AT 402BV I bought at Fry’s (now closed for good) a little over 2 years ago. My antenna is mounted on an eaves mount 20′ off the ground aimed into Mexico and receives VHF and UHF from San Diego and Mexico and UHF from Los Angeles all without a rotator. It’s like having my own cable company, with no monthly bills! Our local WalMart carries the Antop AT 400BV.

I’m 30 miles north of Chicago. I’ve been using the antenna for a while and it works fine except it urban area. The main reason for buying a digital antenna was to receive more free channels. From what I can tell it does works.

It’s been a month since I bought it and it still works great, have recommended it to my friends.

I have used it for half a month to comment. After testing, its effect is satisfactory to me. In the beginning, the position is constantly adjusted, but this has little effect. The correct and best position can exert its maximum performance. I have recommended it to friends who are considering cutting off those crazy cable TVs.

It’s a great antenna. It’s very easy to set up, and also easy to find just about anywhere in or outside to find a place for it. It brought in more channels than my old antenna too, whether I place it inside or outside didn’t matter. This antenna IS worth it. Just buy it!!!

I live far east of Philadelphia. Television towers are quite a distance away. I mounted it on roof, pulled in 65 stations. Excellent clarity of image.

Curvature of the earth prevents distances of more than 70 or so miles from the broadcast tower for television reception. Any antennas Saying it can get stations from 150 miles away is simply not possible. HAM radio can do it because the waves bounce off the ionosphere, UHF and VHF don’t do that. This is a solid outdoor antenna and works well for stations within 90 miles. It actually works better for me than a old-school yagi. Don’t get me wrong, yagi may works fine for someone because so much of their performance depends on environmental factors, but the 402bv beats it, especially for VHF reception. However, when thinking of installing an antenna, always go to tvfool dot com and rabbitears dot info to find out how far broadcast towers are from you and what kind of signal you can expect. If you’re within range, I would recommend this antenn.

Here’s a success story from a fringe reception area in San Diego’s mountainous North County. Many years ago, when San Diego went to digital, from analog TV, we went from being able to receive 3 – 4 channels over the air to none. We went through many stages of cable and satellite, forced to buy packages of channels we never watched. We finally cancelled everything and went to streaming what we could find, on the internet. It was quite an adjustment and we were using a radio to fill the gap, for news and entertainment. I did a late of research and found there was a good possibility of receiving 7 digital channels over the air, with a roof mounted antenna. An experiment with a cheap $10 buck amplified antenna proved that to be somewhat true, with occasional pixelation and several other channels that were unwatchable, due to major pixelation and blackouts. The antenna forums and groups all advised me I needed a 15′ to 20′ conventional antenna to get more channels. Then I read about a group member who posted his success and photo proof of that using an Antop AT 400 Big Boy. I found an Antop AT 402BV Big Boy antenna kit shortly after at a local retailer, with a 30 day return policy. I mounted it 2 weeks ago on the j pole from the satellite dish we quit using over 3 years ago ( perfect excuse to take the dish down), using an app to point the antenna. The results were receiving 26 channels with no pixelation, including all the major networks and some smaller networks we’ve never seen. We’ve had two large rainstorms since then, with no breaks or pixelation in the reception. I have shared our success with local friends and neighbors, along with web forums and groups. The uncompressed signal from this antenna is definitely higher quality than we ever got with cable, or satellite. Here’s photos of our success!
The photo of the tree line taken from our roof shows the South facing television reception path barriers we deal with. The Antop AT 402BV cuts right through these barriers, with ease

No joke this is the real big boy that really works. It’s easy to set up and wow…channels for miles and miles. All around. It blows my mind how great this really works. It’s almost like magic. I highly recommend to anyone looking to extend their channels ordinary reach. This one is far out.

I don’t have cable and want to be able to pick up all the free channels in the area I live. I have used the small square panel and rabbit ears (both hd) but with both I don’t get all the major networks without moving around the antenna. And sometimes reception was still glitchy. The antop flat panel was easy to hook up and I was very happy with the channel selection I got when I scanned the tv. Only thing I don’t really like is the size, but that can be overcome and is worth it for the excellent reception.

I am very happy with this product. It was easy to assemble for indoor use. I only need the local channels, and I am very happy that they came in crystal clear. For right now, it is working perfect just being inside my home. I will probably have my husband put it up outdoors to see if we will receive more channels.

I cut the cord and stopped paying for cable this year – with big thanks to this antenna. My house is wired for cable – so I put this antenna in a guest room in a corner behind a dresser. It picked up all the local channels and they look glorious. So far, I have not noticed any issues during storms – so I am very pleased with this digital antenna.

I am adding a TV to my basement and I was trying to figure out how I could get reception to it. I looked at the Antop Flat Panel “Big Boy” Smartpass Amplified antenna and thought wow this could do just what I want and I don’t have to pay extra for a cable box. I can’t wait to put this to use when I exercise it will give me something to look at while I’m on the treadmill. I also like the fact that you don’t have to mount this antenna outside if you don’t want to; it can reside in your house on your table top or attic. Also if you do mount it outside it doesn’t have to go on your roof top, it can go on your fence, balcony. Wow antenna technology has definitely come a long way. Great idea Antop!!

This is a nice and attractive antenna with an easy to use stand for indoor use and the flexibility to use outdoor as well. It came with a long cable which was a bonus. We need it to be portable so we can take it to our cabin for use as well. Its lightweight and easy to transport. We are close to the city about 20 minutes and we got about 50+ channels using indoors in our upstairs bedroom. Pleasantly surprised with how well this works. I imagine using outdoors would gain us a ton more channels. Its attractive enough that I wouldn’t mind it on my house. It has a nice stand for indoor use and could be I stall on wall for a permanent spot. I may eventually have to purchase one for our cabin since it is so convenient! Easy to install and easy to use. Very pleased!

We have been considering dropping cable because of the cost but wanted something that would give us as many channels as possible. Since we are still under contract we kept just one box and connected the Antop Flat Panel “Big Boy” to our TV in our room. I was surprised we got all the local channels and so many more. They are as clear as cable channels too. With smart TV’s and Streaming devices, it logical to go this route then to continue to pay for cable.
The Antop Flat Panel “Big Boy” Smartpass Amplified was easy to install and I get really good reception with it in the house.
I have told and shown several friends and family about the “Big Boy”. This would be great for thier home and RV’s.

We set this up just like pictures on the website. Right next to the TV. It works great and we get local channels. The set up was super easy. Pretty much plug and play on my part. Since we rent, didn’t want to set up on the house. So this works for us and is happy that we can set up inside.

I really like the Antop Flat Panel “Big Boy” Smartpass Amplified Outdoor/Indoor HDTV Antenna! We have it hooked up in our backyard and it works great so far. It was easy for my husband to install and I love that I get a bunch of free chanels without having to have cable. The enhanced VHW sends the signal to up to 75 miles, and I love the great quality of this product!

So when I got this I was kinda scared it would not work, but to my surprise it works great. I cut the cable a few years back, so this antenna is awesome. I went from getting like ten channels to 74. The kids are excited about some cartoon channels, but I love that the picture is clear and all the new channels it picked up for us. Easy to put together, easy to install and easy to use. Overall I am very satisfied with it.

I did a lot of research before I finally choose this antenna. If you truly need a much larger antenna because your towers are over 40 miles away or you are blocked in by mountains or large buildings. This little antenna will do the job. It measures around 26 inches long and 7 inches wide at its farthest point. Small enough to be easily installed but big enough to do the job. This is by far the best small antenna I have ever owned. I put this antenna in my attic. I am 36 miles away from the towers and i get 62 over the air channels without amplifier. The reception on all the channels is great. The picture is clear with no static. After installing the antenna and testing it on one TV. I connected it up to my home video distribution center. The antenna is currently connected to 6 TVs on a 8 terminal coax splitter.Reception on all the TVs is great. Very happy with this purchase. Note I highly recommend you use a good quality triple or quad shielded cable with this antenna. A quality cable doesn’t cost that much more but there is a noticeable difference the amount of channels you will receive and the quality of the signal to each TV.

I like local TV channels, but I DID NOT want a cable bill – opted for installing this fantastic antenna and getting entirely too familiar with my attic space. I worked without a spotter, so I made a lot of trips up and down those stairs. This latest DIY project only cost me a few well-spent dollars and a good bit of patience and it was well worth it. Once I got the antenna installed and correctly oriented, I received 48 digital channels! I’m also getting 9 radio stations too.

I have to say I am very pleased with the reception. I live near the antenna towers in Chicago. I was amazed that I picked up some channels from Indiana. I have two CBS, NBC, and ABC channel, one set from Chicago and another from Indiana. I have it on 3 televisions right now and have excellent clear pictures. I am cancelling my Dish TV and will add two more TV’s to the antenna.

I especially like the clear plastic design, as you can hang it on a window and it’s barely visible as seen from the street. One caveat to these flat antennas is that they are sensitive to location. You will have to use trial and error to find the right spot to hang this antenna, and don’t always assume that higher is better. I currently have it hanging on the bottom left corner of a window because that was the best signal for some reason. I’ve had great results doing that. I get all the local stations crystal clear. For free!!

Got this to replace a similar model that went through hurricane. It was very easy to assemble and gets even better reception than our original one. I am very pleased with it. We get better reception and a better picture than we ever got on cable.

I’ve purchased two of these. One for my home which is very close to a major city and it gets 120 channels with no problems. It never lost signal during hurricane. The second one is at my sisters home in a backroads wooded area where there is no internet provider still and she gets 100 channels with great signal. This has saved us $160 a month since we changed to it and stopped paying get cable.

I am very pleased with the ANTOP HDTV antenna. It has met my needs perfectly.
I researched possible antennas because my location is about 40-50 air miles to the broadcasters. Additionally, it is thick with trees at my location. Many friends doubted I could get any antenna to work for me. I liked other comments about the ANTOP because they had success indoors, and even when positioned in a basement. The product description said the ANTOP antenna could reach to 75 miles. I gave it a try.
I tried indoors first and I got 28 channel signals. The quality of the signals was not acceptable. So I tried outdoors on the second floor of the house. GREAT success! I now get 54 channels and all the signals are good.
The quality of the ANTOP antenna feels good and should last a long time. The electronics are designed and located indoors near the TV, out of the weather.
I just got delivery of the ANTOP HDTV antenna and installed the antenna. I am very impressed.

I was able to increase from 3 to 23 channels indoors and to 41 outdoors with the antenna mounted approximately 20 feet off the ground. I am about 35 miles from the closest tower and in a wooded, rural area. I was unable to place it in an ideal position due to location of my cable runs into a cellar. The reception is excellent and clear. I bought the ANTOP mounting pole which I spray painted to match my house color. It required I buy straps and mounting hardware to anchor the antenna. I also had to drill new holes in the mounting bracket to match the straps. I am very pleased with the antenna – the mounting pole not so much.

First of all, this antenna is beautiful. It looks great and though I know that’s not why we buy antennas, but … if an antenna can yield such excellent results and still look great, then that’s fantastic all around.
When I got home, I first tried it indoors, put it near a window on an end table, pulled in around 30 channels and they were coming in STRONG, signal quality was great. After a few days, I hoisted it up on the roof and did a proper Outdoor install, the results were STERLING. Fantastic, I’ve been pulling in over fifty channels and with a VERY robust signal strength & quality.
For point of reference, I live about 25 – 30 miles from the nearest towers, so I wasn’t expecting results like this. I never really believe the stated range on antennas, but in the case of Antop product, I’m a believer. This is not the conventional antenna of yore (or even today), as most people are still more comfortable with the Yagi-type design (Channel Master line, etc.). In my view it looks great and that’s a huge bonus..
I’ve seen reviews and demo videos around the web, but I really had to buy and install this to get the full picture. This antenna is GREAT. I recommend it for both indoor and outdoor use. It does come with a nice pedestal, so you can sit it on an end table, the floor, anywhere in your living room. Some of the best money I’ve spent this year!

Easy to setup. Bought to get local channels but was able to get many more stations. My intent also was to put this outside but after trying it out inside the house I was satisfied with the channels I was getting.
