Featuring Antop’s exclusive HD Smart Boost technology, Antop HD Smart Boost Preamplifier/SBS-611B is designed to improve the performance of non-amplified outdoor antennas in weak signal strength areas. It is compatible with all brands of non-amplified outdoor antennas, and allows you to adjust the VHF gain and UHF gain separately with two simple turns of dials. Its weather resistant exterior design combined with anti-interference internal tech protects signal reception to provide clear pictures and full channel capacity even during inclement weather.
Tips:
1. Re-scan the channels after each turning of the UHF/VHF dial. 2. Scan channels monthly to find all available channels including newly added or changed. 3. The power supply section (including the Power Inserter, USB Cable, AC/DC Power Adapter) is for indoor use only. Do not expose the power supply section to rain or moisture to prevent fire or shock hazard.

I’ve seen hits on youtube for this amp that supposedly match the signal conditions in your area for best performance in weak signal areas. It just so happens that I live about 60 miles from the radio station and placed an order for it to work wistfully with my other antenna without amplification which pulls in an additional 5 channels for me.

The TV transmitter is about 60 miles from my house and without the preamp I only get about half of the available channels with a signal strength of about 65% and the quality is hit or miss. With the preamp, I get all available channels from the transmitter with 100% signal strength. I am very happy with it!
