I live within 20 miles of the winter hill transmitter and it’s in a near line of sight location. I placed theantenna on the window at high level and tuned it in. The quality of the picture was good has a good singal

Have had at415b up for 3 years. Picks up all channels they claimed it would, and more when conditions are favorable. Deep south Louisiana with some towers over 70 mi. away. Great omni directional and wind friendly design for hurricane resistance even at 37 ft.

I had previously used a Polaroid directional antennae mounted about 15′ in the air above our home on a 2″ steel pipe grounded 6′ into the ground. The Polaroid had a motor that allowed me to rotate it remotely but after 2 years, the antennae wings were fully rusted away and blew down during a recent storm.
After researching a lot of possibilities for replacements, I opted for the ANTOP Dual Omni AT-415B. It arrived within a week (west coast to east coast ups ground), and I wasn’t in a hurry so that was fine. Setup and installation only took about 20 minutes including climbing the ladder to put it on top of the pole and run the cable. (Cable needs to be a lot longer for a roof top or pole mount that far in the air, but I made it work and added an extension cable.
Signal is great for all of the same channels we previously received, but the advertised range of 75 miles is not accurate at all. I would say 45 to 50 at the very best.
I no longer have to rotate the antennae to pick up channels from different directions, but it will not pick up channels only sixty miles away. So, although I don’t receive any of the extra channels I thought I would receive, I am happy with the clarity of the signals I do receive and the fact that I no longer have to rotate to pick up different directions.
95% Satisified and no complaints for the price. Time will tell so to the durability of it. It is very lightweight, and I am hoping it can withstand some of the heavy winds we get here on the East coast during some of our storms.
I recommend this to anyone wanting to cut the cable/satellite cords.

I was very happy with the results. I live in a very rural setting and receive perfect clear reception of 42 channels. This was a real value.

    It depends

As everyone who has attempted to install an antenna knows, it all depends on your particular circumstances.

I intend to be a cable-cutter and this was the second low-profile antenna I have tested in my quest to find something functional for external installation without completely annoying my neighbors.

I really like this antenna for its compactness/profile and overall functionality. It was very easy to assemble and test and worked very well for UHF reception. Unfortunately it did not receive 2 of the high-VHF channels in my area that I need to pick up, so it did not fully meet my needs. I did try mounting it in multiple locations at different heights, but could not improve the VHF signal. To my surprise the UHF signals were strong everywhere.

In total fairness to Antop, I called before purchasing this antenna to get their technical input on the suitability of this product to meet my needs. After discussing it we agreed there was a 50/50 chance of it fully meeting my needs given the locations of the 3 broadcast towers and mix of UHF/VHF channels in San Diego. So it was my choice to give it a try knowing this.

I would give the antenna 5 stars for design, profile and function for picking up UHF signals, especially in an area where towers are spread out. Unfortunately it did not have enough capability to pick up the VHF channels, so it does not meet that need. As a note, this antenna cannot use a different, stronger pre-amp to enhance the signals.

After testing it I had another conversation with Antop to discuss options and ultimately decided to try Antop 400BV that has a better ability to handle VHF signals. I am in the process of testing that product now.

Kudos to Antop for their support!

Better signal quality but same number of channels.

    Michael R.

DAY ONE REVIEW: It works, I don’t get any more or less channels than a cheaper directional antenna, however the signal quality is a lot better. I’ve always got static depending where I’m sitting in the room. With this one, I don’t have that problem. While I don’t think it’s really work the price, but if it last forever, I don’t know why it wouldn’t, I mean it’s all encased in plastic and plastic last well basically forever, then it will be worth it.

My directions antenna had a 85 mile claim, it pick up 30 miles at most. This antenna had a 65 mile claim, it’s the same, 30 miles at most.
I literally have 3 towers that are 63 to 64 miles away, that I’ve never been able to pick up. But can’t even pick up the 52 mile away tower.

In the end, a cheaper direction antenna will work for me, however you can spend a long time adjusting it, turning/tilting it and I could never get it just right. With this, you just have to mount it and done.

Installation instructions were a little vague, but worked great for my outdoor antenna.
