I received this yesterday and hooked it up to a new HD tv. Ive had satellite for 7 yrs. and want to get rid of the big monthly bill I pay to get approximately 20 channels I watch with any regularity out of the 250 channels I’m charged for. Downgrading the satellite package just takes away the good channels and leaves more filler. I bought a roku box that I love for movies and radio, etc. and have a pc hooked up to the tv to stream some of the network tv shows you can see online. I have a desk I use for the tv stand, have my dvd player on a bottom shelf and my keyboard and mouse on the tray. There is a side bookcase that runs perpendicular that I removed the shelf from and my pc sits exactly in the space so nothing is an eyesore but is convenient. I got this antenna to pick up local channels and local news. I have a mountain within 5 ft. of the back of my house and one directly across the road so I was hoping for 4 channels but got 7. I tried the RCA antenna that is similar and only picked up 2 channels. I get better reception with it near window. I havent figured out how Im going to hang it yet but overall Im pleased with it and it does its job. Im picking up 3 channels I didnt know were available in my area so I do recommend this product.
