I live approximately 45 miles from Birmingham , Alabama. All major channels and all local independent channels come in crystal clear. Any non technical person can install this antenna as easy to follow instructions are provided. If you can live without cable/satellite tv and want to save approximately $1000 per year in viewing costs, this is the way to go.

    Great UFO antenna

I purchased three indoor antennas last winter hoping to get by without an outdoor antenna. Well, after constantly adjusting the position of the antennas every time I changed channels, I finally gave up. The 414B had received some good reviews at homedepot, so I bought the AT 414B and a J mount from here. It took about 10 minutes to set the thing up and get everything connected. The antenna is mounted on some rafters in my garage attic and the TV picture is now crystal clear across all channels. Great product, well worth the price!

This is a very good antenna. It didn’t take much for me to get channels, and it’s just placed in the yard not mounted 20-30 feet off the ground. I’m sure if I had this on my roof, I would probably get a bunch more channels.

The Antop UFO Smartpass Antenna is made from a sturdy plastic and therefore in light weight. This allows for easy installation. For my use I installed it in the attic space above my attached garage because it was convenient for me. Your location may vary but should work anywhere in your attic area. I chose an indoor installation to keep the antenna away from the weather elements. I achieved 35 channel reception including CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX over the air which met my requirements. All come in crystal clear. I mean just as good as the HD from my local Comcast HD. I was pleasantly surprised. The reception comes from approximately 50 – 60 miles away from my residence.
My antenna services two televisions. I split the signal in the attic by attaching a 4’ coaxial cable to the antenna. The short coaxial cable was needed for the female ends. Then I attached the power amplifier which has a male end to the cable and female end to the splitter. You will need a power source. I have been using this antenna for almost 1 month and I’m very satisfied. I bought this to because I stepped away from cable. This product is worth looking into. Home Depot was very prompt with the delivery of this product. All things considered I give the experience two thumbs up.

    Great signal

I’m about 40 miles from Atlanta, Ga. and I get 42 stations and right now it is only 4 feet above ground. I will be putting it on a 20 foot J pole soon.

It was pretty easy to install

I bought this for my Mom. She lives where she doesn’t get very many channels. She now gets about 18 channels and with clear reception. The weather does not seem to effect this antenna so far. It was pretty easy to install. I did it myself and I am a 53 yr old woman. She is happy with it.

    this works great

I cut the cord about 6 weeks ago but wanted to have free local channels, I live in the Renton Highlands the first antenna I tried worked good it was a loner I gave it back it was just to test the antenna out, so I went and bought one a good one I thought it wouldn’t bring in one channel took it back gave up for a bit, now its football time I wasn’t able to watch the game( that didn’t work) went down looked at several antennas and reviews, chose this one hooked it up and 56 channels later this thing is great.

This was the third antenna I tried and finally achieved results. It was easy to install and setup and looks good. Its installed outside, approximately 15 feet above the ground on the south side of the house. The Boston area TV towers are approximately 42 miles away from me in NH and I get them all. When I first scanned for TV channels, 44 were identified, ranging all the way from channels in Rhode Island to Maine. However, the atmospheric conditions must have been perfect that day as the available channels vary. This is not a result of the antenna, but the weather/atmospheric conditions. I did need to buy a 4 way signal amplifier splitter to supply 3 TV’s without signal degradation.

    Working as advertised

I read a lot of reviews on this antenna both here on Amazon and other sites where this is sold. This item is working great for me. I mounted it in my attic as high as I could reach and on the side of the house nearest the broadcast towers. I live about 25 miles outside of New Orleans and 50 miles from Baton Rouge. I connected the antenna to a 5 way splitter I bought at Home Depot and chased down each piece of coax leading to the TV’s around the house. All are getting 40+ channels. Many are duplicates since I am in between markets, but that is ok. I have not had to adjust the antenna at all. I do recommend this for anyone cutting the cord.

    AT-414B works but needs options

Love the 16+ TV channels I can now pick up being 41 miles out of Atlanta.

I have my unit mounted in my attic using existing Cable company RG6 coax installed a year ago.

It works great with 1 TV at a time, because of the way the ANTOP Power Amp must be used. ANTOP needs to solve a Power Amp distribution issue. Because purchasing 3 more power amp for each room @ $19.95 plus s&h will add another $95+ to the over all price.

    Works better than expected!

Just took a gamble with this one. To my surprise, 52 channels of which there are at least 20 of genuine interest and use to us. Pick up CBS, NBS, ABC, Fox, several PBS including PBS Kids, CW, MeTV, Grit, Laff, Decades, and half a dozen other channels that focus on movies and classic TV. All come in crystal clear with none of that pixel in and out of picture business. Really happy with it!

    Amazing product!

I am not at all savvy in the ways of antenna installation. But this one is easy to install. Picks up all the channels available in my area.
The most important is life time free. I do not need to pay it anymore. Amazing product! Definitely recommend!

A solid choice for the attic and no fuss installation.

A solid choice for the attic and no fuss installation.

We are building an addition and wanted to move our antenna into the attic. So we purchased this and installed it at the highest peak in our new addition. It already receives more channels (60 for greater Detroit 35 miles) and stronger signals (80% typical) than my $200 outdoor antenna (60%) mounted on a 30′ $100 pole, all without any aiming.

I bought this as a “backup” antenna to a cheap $35 Rotary Antenna, but honestly it worked so well and required no aiming, I’ll continue to use it as my primary and instead use the $35 Rotary as the backup. (yes I mounted 2 antennas since this peak wont be very accessible once the addition is completed – seemed like a cheap insurance policy against failure)

I used my own cables (Mono Price Quad Shielded 3Ghz Certfied).

    My setup is as follows.

    Antenna
    100′ Cable
    Antenna Power Supply
    100′ Cable
Amplified Power Distributor to 3 Rooms
    50′ Run to Rooms
    Non Powered Splitter
    10′ Run to TV
    10′ Run to DVR

Keep in mind I’m not using cheap grade cable or cheap grade splitters read the reviews on amazon and get the best for your needs there is a big difference vs what you get at the local hardware or appliance store for $10. Even so the cost of cables and good powered splitters was probably less than $100.

    Survived hurricane IRMA

I installed this antenna to my old dish arm. My first impression was that it seemed cheaply made with cheap parts however it did what it promised so I was happy. I completely forgot to take it down as IRMA approached and was completely surprised it was still there afterwards. I’m in SE fort Lauderdale and max gusts were about 70mph so it was only TS strength. I’m impressed it stayed inplace!

    Perfect

So I went out on a limp here and tried an antenna. Cable is just getting too expensive. I remember using an antenna when I was growing up and recall having to play with the positioning of it which was a drag. I also remember that the picture didn’t always come in clear. So we tried it in hopes that things would be different… I am really impressed with the reception and this whole new antenna idea. Set-up was really easy and we don’t have to keep repositioning it to receive channels. We did have to move it around at first, but just to find its hotspot. (Patience is a big thing when you get an antenna) The picture that we receive is better then what we get from the cable company. I am really happy that we gave the antenna a try. We can now stop the cable and have that extra money for other things. Had to share my experience, because my thoughts of an antenna were just out of the question because of my past experiences.

    Not exactly omnidirectional

Replaced a Mohu Leaf 50 TV Antenna. The Mohu could pick up channels very clearly in a specific direction, and it provided a very clear picture in the direction it was pointed. But I live in an area with stations at 4 major directions, and the Mohu had to be physically rotated to pick up different stations, so I decided to get this Antop omnidirectional antenna. At first I was skeptical. I first did a hand-held comparison between the Mohu and Antop hand-held in the living room to compare how many channels I could clearly receive. I found that this Antop antenna IS directional to a certain extent. I found that I had to hold the antenna at a slightly off-horizontal angle to get optimal reception, but once I got the angle right, it was able to pick up all the local channels in the area without the need for further rotation. Then I mounted the antenna in my attic. I’m getting very clear reception of all local channels plus some more distant ones. With the Mohu, I started with 20 to 25 channels, depending on which direction I pointed the antenna. Now I’m getting everything in the area, for a grand total of 39 very watchable channels. Knocked off one star for the antenna not being truly omnidirectional, but very happy otherwise.

    Omni directional for real

‘m delighted! Live in rural north florida and receive up to 19 (more on that in a moment) beautiful HD channels! Cut the satellite cord — am saving $109 per month! This antenna picks up stations in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Gainesville and Ocala…but not all the time. Those with 40 to 50 miles are steady, but those at the edge Channels 27.x in Tally come in best in the morning while 4.x in Jax is quite good after the sun goes down. This is the 2nd HD antenna I’ve installed, the first one soon after the stations converted to digital, so 8 or 9 years ago, and it is a directional, only receiving some gainesville and ocala stations. This omni ability is great, no rotating antenna needed. For locals, WRUF also broadcasts a great weather, news and sports station that many in this area do not know about at 10.1, so check it out if in the area.

I have many tall deciduous and pine trees close the the house and the little antenna is about 18 feet or so above ground level, mounted above the roof line, although a chimney to the south is taller.. I think if I put it up higher than the trees, I might get many more channels. But that is aybe in the future, because for now this is great. BTW it feeds a Channel Master DVR+ which is connected to a router so we get schedules and can pause, fast forward, record, etc. Altogether, this fee-free system will pay for itself in four months. Wanted to cut the cord for years, and finally have a great system. Bye bye big monthly bills!
